About Lawrite HR - the employment law specialists

Since the business was originally established in 1997, thousands of employers throughout the UK have relied on Lawrite for employment law support, firmly establishing Lawrite's reputation for excellent value, quality and service.

Although our speciality is providing an affordable service for SME’s, our clients include businesses of all sizes. There are law firms, veterinary and medical practices, hotels, care homes, schools, manufacturers and football clubs using Lawrite HR services.

Lawrite HR services stand out from the competition because:

  • All document drafting and other legal work is carried out by practising solicitors from our associated law firm Lawrite Solicitors, a firm of solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, so you can be assured that the work will be carried out to the highest standards;
  • Calls to Lawrite HR’s Legal Advice Line are also handled by solicitors working for Lawrite Solicitors, so you will get pragmatic advice and solutions to your problems, not just information;
  • We have a range of employment law solutions to suit businesses of different sizes and budgets;
  • All our subscription services for employers include health and safety statement templates, risk assessment forms and basic guidance, at no extra cost;
  • We will not tie our clients into multi-year agreements. Our services are available on an annually renewable fixed fee basis.

Lawrite HR was founded by solicitor Martin Phillips in 1997 and remains a family-run firm today. Martin had many years' experience advising both employers and employees about employment law, and he firmly believed that prevention rather than cure is the key to dealing with employment law and workplace disputes.

After representing clients in hundreds of Employment Tribunal cases he could see that many employers lost because of failure to use procedures and the absence of claims avoidance strategies.

He saw the need for an affordable service to assist employers to put into place the documents, policies and procedures required for legal compliance and to avoid costly Tribunal claims.
