Employment Tribunal claims insurance

More than 200,000 claims against employers are made to Employment Tribunals every year.

During the period between April 1st 2010 and March 31st 2011 there were 218,100 claims containing a total of 382,400 individual complaints. That's 43% more complaints than during the same period in 2008-09.

Age discrimination claims increased by 79% last year compared with 2008-09.
