You can protect your business from Employment Tribunal claims by including our legal expenses insurance policy as part of your Lawrite HR service package.
The policy is included as part of Lawrite Employment Law Plus and the Lawrite Managed HR service.
You will be covered for legal defence costs, and compensatory awards. The policy includes cover for:
- Defence of legal proceedings arising from employment disputes;
- Employment awards (at an Employment Tribunal);
- Defence of health and safety criminal prosecutions;
- Tax enquiries and disputes;
- Jury service;
- Disputes with landlords;
- Debt recovery.
There is cover of up to £100,000 cover per claim (maximum £500,000 a year).
Tribunal representation will be arranged if required.
The last decade or so has seen massive increases in both employee rights and awareness by staff of those rights, illustrated by the number of claims made at Employment Tribunals.
Maximum compensation awards in unfair dismissal cases can be more than £76,000, with no limit at all in discrimination cases.
