The Lawrite Managed HR service

Lawrite Managed HR is a pro-active, professional employment law and HR support service for UK employers, which provides individual document drafting for all employees and an enhanced level of legal advice and support from solicitors.

Document drafting by solicitors

We will provide individual ready-to-use contracts of employment for all employees, staff handbooks and other required HR documents for your business, drafted by a solicitor after taking instructions and assessing your specific requirements.

If you already have contracts or policies in place we will review your documents, workplace practices and procedures and update or redraft them. After that we can keep your documents updated for you when there are changes required by law or business development.

Enhanced strategic legal support

As a Lawrite Managed HR customer you will get an enhanced level of strategic legal support, with an assigned solicitor who you can contact by e-mail and telephone, or who can visit your premises to provide on-site support.

We can advise you about disciplinary and grievance hearings, performance review procedures, bonus schemes, redundancy or re-structuring, recruitment strategy and many other HR issues.

Additional services and support

We enter into an annually-renewed service agreement with Managed HR customers. You will pay a fixed annual cost for the service.

Should further legal support outside the agreed package subsequently be required, this can be provided very competitively on a pay-as-you-go basis. For example we can provide training for managers about dealing with disciplinary matters and staff grievances and equality in the workplace.

Legal expenses insurance

For businesses and organisations with up to 250 employees, we can provide a legal expenses insurance policy that covers defence costs of legal proceedings arising from:

  • Employment disputes and awards (at an Employment Tribunal);
  • Health and safety prosecutions;
  • Tax enquiries and disputes;
  • Criminal prosecutions;
  • Jury service;
  • Property disputes;
  • Debt recovery.

The employment disputes and awards cover is up to £100,000 per claim, (up to £500,000 per year).
